Hi there! I’m Marissa. I’m a senior hairstylist at 181 Hairway To Heaven, I have been in the industry for the past 14 years.
I graduated from Marvel Hairstyling School in 2007 but was a shampoo girl for 6 years before that starting when I was 13 years old!
I’ve always had a passion for hair and love transforming my clients with a colour and a new highlight or two, add a fresh cut that will guarantee you look and feel your best.
A fun fact about me is, when I was young I sported a Billy Ray Cyrus mullet. From that day on I was determined I was going to become a hairstylist myself so when I had a daughter of my own she would never have a mullet.

At 12 years old, I knew I wanted to do hair. It was always something I was drawn to. I was so fortunate to have a very talented stylist named Kim Leonard took me under her wing at a very young age. With her guidance and encouragement I was accepted into and quickly became a licensed graduate of Modern Hairstyling School by the age of 18. Over 40 years later and you surely trust I have a wealth of knowledge about your hair and this wonderful industry. Every day weare presented with opportunity to learn another hair tip or trick, this gets we excited, I can’t wait to inspire and share ideas with you.
A fun fact about me is, I love “Bacon Cheeseburgers” but please do not let the mustard touch the cheese, “Nope I just can’t do it”.

When I was 12 years old I cut my cousins friends hair and her mother came over to me and ask if I would cut hers she loved it so much, I knew my calling then!

Kelsey is a fun-loving colour specialist with a passion for creating beautiful, effortless hair. Known for her expertise in blonding and lived-in colour, she blends technical skill with a laid-back, energy that makes every appointment feel easy and enjoyable. Returning to Muskoka in the new year, Kelsey is excited to bring her creativity and signature style back home.
